Silicone wire is a wire that uses silicone as the insulating material. Its main feature is excellent high temperature resistance, and it can maintain stable performance in the temperature range of -50°C to +200°C or even higher. In addition, silicone wire has good chemical corrosion resistance and can withstand corrosion from acids, alkalis, solvents and other chemicals. Its flexibility and wear resistance make it suitable for complex wiring environments.
Suitable for drones, electric heating products, electrical equipment wiring, mechanical internal connection wires, automobile clip wires, fire line temperature and other sensor connection wires, test instrument power cords, automobile connection wires, lithium battery connection wires, etc

FAQ
1. What is the difference between ultra-soft silicone wire and ordinary PVC wire?
Flexibility: Silicone wire is softer and suitable for frequent bending.
Heat resistance: Silicone wire is resistant to high temperature (up to 200°C), while PVC wire is usually only resistant to 70-105°C.
Durability: Silicone is resistant to aging and corrosion, and has a longer lifespan.
2. Can this wire be used for high current transmission?
Yes, but it needs to be selected according to the wire diameter (AWG value). For example:
AWG12 (cross-sectional area of about 3.3mm²) can carry 20-25A current.
AWG18 (cross-sectional area of about 0.82mm²) is suitable for 5-10A.
3. Is the ultra-soft silicone wire flame retardant?
High-quality silicone wire is self-extinguishing (does not continue to burn after leaving the open flame), but it is not completely flame retardant. If a higher flame retardancy level is required, you can choose a model with added flame retardant.
4. How to distinguish the quality of silicone wire?
Look at the material: the conductor should be bright and free of oxidation, and the silicone layer should be uniform and free of bubbles.
Test flexibility: the insulation layer should not crack after repeated bending.
Temperature resistance test: no deformation or odor release at high temperatures.
5. Can silicone cables be used outdoors or in humid environments?
Yes. Silicone has excellent waterproof and moisture-proof properties, but long-term exposure to ultraviolet rays may age, so it is recommended to add a protective sleeve.
6. What is the withstand voltage value of the wire?
The withstand voltage range of common silicone wires is 300V-600V (such as UL3135 standard). Please check the product specifications for details.
7. How to connect the ultra-soft silicone wire?
Welding: Use a high-temperature soldering station (silicone is heat-resistant, but avoid long-term high temperature to burn the insulation layer).
Crimping: Use appropriate terminals to ensure firm contact.
Note: Avoid using low-quality tape, and heat shrink tubing is recommended to protect the joint.
8. What should I pay attention to when storing wires?
Avoid scratches from sharp objects, keep away from strong acid/alkaline environments, and store in a cool and dry place.
Ultra Soft Silicone Wire 8AWG 1650/0.08TS Copper Strands
Soft Silicone Wire (8AWG) is a specialized type of electrical wire known for its exceptional flexibility and high-temperature tolerance Common Applications & Usage Scenarios: 1. High-Performance Automotive & Motorsports Battery Cabling: In electric vehicles (EV conversions), custom car audio (amplifier power/ground), and race cars where engine bay temperatures are extreme. Stereo Systems: For running power from the battery to high-wattage amplifiers. Its flexibility makes routing through tight spaces easier. Engine Bays: For custom sensor wiring, ignition systems, or accessories where heat from headers/exhaust is a concern. 2. RC Models, Drones, and Robotics Battery Leads & Power Distribution: This is a very common use. 8AWG is often used for the main battery connections in large-scale RC cars, boats, aircraft, and heavy-lift drones that run on high-current LiPo batteries. Motor Connections: For high-torque brushless motors that can draw hundreds of amps in short bursts. Robotic Arms/Platforms: Where constant movement and flexing are required. 3. Marine & Outdoor Applications Boat Wiring: For trolling motors, battery banks, and power inverters. Its resistance to moisture, salt, and ozone is a key benefit. Solar Power Systems: As interconnect cables between high-wattage solar panels and charge controllers, especially where flexibility for seasonal adjustment is needed. 4. Custom Power Supplies, Audio, and Maker Projects High-Current Lab Benches: For building custom power supplies or test equipment. High-End Audio: Inside amplifiers or for speaker cables in short, high-power runs (though purists may debate this). General High-Current Projects: Any DIY project involving large batteries (e.g., power walls), welders, or motors where standard PVC wire is too stiff. 5. Temporary/Stage Lighting and Entertainment Power Distribution: For running power to high-wattage lighting arrays where cables are frequently moved, coiled, and reconfigured.
